Carrot Halwa




SnoIngredientsQuantity
1Carrots500 grms
2Milk1/2 ltr more or less
3Condensed Milk300 grms
4Cashew20
5Kishmish 20
6Almond10
7Cardamom 1 tbs
8Ghee2 tbs

Procedure:

  1. Rinse, peel and grate the carrots.
  2. In the pressure cooker add milk and grated carrots.
  3. On a low to medium flame, wait for 4 cooker whistle sounds.
  4. After 10 mins,open the pressure cooker and add condensed milk.
  5. Stir well and continue to simmer and cook on a low flame.
  6. Now you can see all the milk is evaporated.
  7. Take 1 pan and roast  all dry fruits in ghee.
  8. Now add these dry fruits in carrot halwa.Finally add cardamom powder.
  9. Switch off the burner.
  10. Serve carrot halwa hot, warm or you can also serve it cold.

Cautions:

  • Don't add sugar while following above procedure as condensed milk itself is sweet.
  • Cook on low flame or medium flame.

Add  carrot into the pressure cooker

Add milk to carrot.

Keep the cooker lid and wait for 4 whistles.

  Open the pressure cooker lid after 10 mins and
now add  condensed milk .Keep on mixing..
